The scorching heat of the summer season, with excessive sweating, makes the skin dull. Tanning and acne are the other problems faced during the summer season. Not only this one can also get rashes and stubborn sunburns if exposed to sunlight.
But one can get rid of all this by taking good skin care during such time too. Let’s move on further.

How does Skin change during summer?
The summer brings excessive sweat to our bodies. The underlying sebaceous glands secrets more oil and block the pores. These pores blockages are the main cause of acne. That is why the acne problem increases in summer.
Sometimes, excessive sweating is also a major cause of rashes and itching. These are very painful and problematic too. So, the skin requires the utmost care in the summer season.
Apart from this going out in the hot and scorching sun makes the skin dull and dark. The skin exposure to the sun releases more melanin which makes the color dark too.
How to take care of your skin in summer?
Wash your face frequently
Washing of face in the summer season with more frequency as compared to the other seasons. It helps in removing the excess oil from the skin. It is recommended to use face wash as per your skin type.
Use Sunscreen while going out
In order to protect your skin from tanning and sunburn, one must apply a good SPF sunscreen before going out. The sunscreen protects the skin from scorching heat and makes a protective layer to guard you against harmful UV rays.
For Indian skin, the SPF 15 to 50 sunscreen is considered good but no one provides you 100% protection from the UV rays.
Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables
The summer fruits and vegetables are a rich source of water. They keep the body hydrated and cool. The fruits and veggies like watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber, mint, lemon, are good sources of water.
Go for a good skincare routine
The face wash you are using should be gel-based (dry skin) or water-based ( oily skin). Avoid using a face wash that is cream-based as it can block the pores during the summer season.
Do regular scrubbing
Scrubbing your face at least twice a week cleans the pores and reduces the chances of acne. Use the scurb based on your skin type. Scrub gently in a circular motion. Do npt forget to scrub the neck as well as lips as they are also sensitive and are taaned easily.
Avoid heavy make-up
As far as possible avoid wearing heavy make up as they can leave your skin full of oil after removing. Use light or tinted lip balm or moisturiser if you want to have some make up. Moreovr, excessive usage of the make-up block up the skin natural shine.
Home remedies to get glowing skin
1.Aloevera
The Aloevera is an antioxidant and anti bacterial for skin. It also soothes the skin during the summer season. The cooling effect of aloevera makes you feel comfortable in the heat and humid environment.
To use aloevera take a leaf from the plant and use the pulp. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off the face with clean water. You can aslo use aloevera gel available in market and online stores
2. Rose water
Rose water cleanse the pores and leaves the face hydrated and cool for a longer time. The regular use of the rose water gives you a glowing skin. It is advised to clean your skin with rose water before bed to get a flawless glow.
Take some rosewater on a cotton swab and clean your face with it thoroughly with it.
3. Tomato
The tomato is a good source of vitamin C and is helpful oin removing tan from the face. It is easily available at homeand can be used easily too. Just mesh the tomato and add a little amount of honey to it. Apply all over the face and wash it after 15 minutes.
4. Gram flour and curd.
The gram flour mixed with curd and lemon act as a good cleanser.It exfoliates the skin too. The vitamin C in lemon removes tan. Add the one sppon of gram flour with one spoon curd and few drops of lemon. Apply on the face gently and remove it after 15 minutes.
